Vladislav Yaroshuk
Auditor at Consensys Diligence
Motivation
My views closely align with those of Consensys Diligence. I am deeply committed to the security and success of the Arbitrum ecosystem and the broader EVM ecosystem. Recent incidents, such as the Bybit exploit, clearly demonstrate the importance of having a security council to review proposals and protect protocols. By joining the Arbitrum Security Council, I aim to use my personal and my team's extensive expertise in smart contract security to maintain and improve the safety of the Arbitrum network. In the elections for the previous cohort, we finished in 7th place, narrowly missing membership, highlighting the community’s strong interest in having representative from Consensys Diligence on the council.
Experience
My name is Vladislav Yaroshuk, and since early 2017, I have been deeply engaged with blockchain technology and inspired by a crypto-anarchist philosophy. I have a strong foundation in low-level programming and extensive experience with smart contracts and MEV. After working as a Solidity developer for a cross-chain protocol and successfully participating in bug bounties and audit contests, I transitioned fully into blockchain security, actively safeguarding billions in user assets.
Currently, I am part of Consensys Diligence, a blockchain security firm with a proven track record across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and other EVM ecosystems. Our team has notably conducted critical audits on Arbitrum’s core infrastructure, including the Core Contracts and Token Bridge (November 2021) and Nitro Node & Core Contracts (June 2022), uncovering one Critical and six Major vulnerabilities. We have also audited key Arbitrum ecosystem projects such as Rocket Pool, Notional, 1inch, Gamma, MetaMask, Connext, 0x, Aave, and Balancer.
At Consensys Diligence, we actively contribute essential security tools to the broader ecosystem, including Diligence Fuzzing, MythX, Scribble, Mythril, Napalm, and the Solidity Visual Auditor for VS Code—widely adopted by developers to secure their smart contracts. Our team, including myself, composed of highly skilled security researchers and engineers, excels at analyzing on-chain transactions, simulating and verifying proposals, and ensuring the correctness and security of blockchain protocols. Whenever there's a need for security consultations or assistance - ArbitrumDAO can count not only on my experience, but also on knowledge of the whole Consensys Diligence team.
Additionally, I actively research past exploits and share my findings and analyses through detailed blog posts, contributing to community knowledge and awareness. I am eager to leverage my personal expertise and the collective strength of Consensys Diligence to enhance and maintain the security and reliability of the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Thank you for considering my submission.
Skills
Cybersecurity
I’ve been deeply involved in blockchain cybersecurity—specifically, smart contract auditing—for more than three years. During this time, I have contributed to several high-profile audits that collectively safeguard billions of dollars, among them: 1inch Fusion Mode, LIDO V2 (On-Chain and Off-Chain), Privacy Pools, Linea ENS & Linea Rollup Updates, Metamask Earn, Ramses V3. I also engage in continuous research on emerging exploits and publish my insights through blog posts and various social channels. My Telegram channel has over 3600 subscribers and I have more than 3000 followers on LinkedIn. A point of pride is that none of the projects I’ve audited have suffered any post-audit exploits.
As part of Consensys Diligence—a blockchain security firm specializing in smart contract audits and security tooling since 2016—I’m able to tap into the combined expertise of a globally distributed team that has extensive experience in safeguarding key projects across Ethereum and layer-2 ecosystem
Projects
As part of Consensys Diligence, I collaborate with a broad range of projects across Ethereum and various layer‑2 ecosystems. Although I work with many projects, I adhere to strict independence and do not believe there are any conflicts of interest relating to my candidacy for the Arbitrum Security Council.
