Candidate Profile

TL;DR I've been publicly involved in the blockchain space since 2014 and have been personally motivated to improve and expand governance solutions for several years now. In particular, I have been actively championing citizen enfranchisement across the space. Through this endeavor, the Arbitrum ecosystem has become a home base for both myself and my team at Event Horizon, a public-good metagovernance layer. -- One of several landing points of this motivation to build a more robust decentralized governance ecosystem was the creation of the novel delegation mechanism, Implicit Delegation (more info: https://medium.com/hvax/implicit-delegation-event-horizons-governance-solution-3815d61ded12).

ID is a governance model emergent at the metagovernance level, which offers direct reward in the form of greater voice to retail voters who have the will to participate in governance.

From a DAO perspective, ID brings the many great ideas and voices from the long-tail distribution of low-capital community members to the surface. I like to say that the best ideas in an ecosystem are often held in the minds of individuals with $50 in governance voice, so we need a better platform for these ideas to be heard.

The concept of Implicit delegation above has been actionized by my team at Event Horizon (https://EventHorizon.vote).

Event Horizon has already mobilized >$20,000,000 of voting power across ~200 proposals on over 6 DAOs all on behalf of almost 200 retail voters at no cost to the user. This is $20,000,000 of voice amplification for the low-capital, high-conviction citizen which would never have been possible prior to Event Horizon's product.

However, beyond implicit delegation, myself and the broader Event Horizon team, are committed to evolving and protecting DAO ecosystems even beyond the scope of our core product.

This Security Council Candidacy is a continuation of this commitment.
