Motivation

I have spent most of my adult life working in the field of cryptocurrencies with a special focus on scalability solutions like channels and rollups. I still find it crazy to have witnessed an industry that has evolved from deep research to practically deployed systems that users can use and get their hands dirty with.

Thanks to the work of Offchain Labs and community contributors, we are getting very close to a stage-2 rollup that allows users to lock their funds into an off-chain system (like Arbitrum) and for the software to protect the assets held by the system 99.9% of the time (daily basis).

My motivation to join the Security council is twofold:

  • Help protect the assets held in the Arbitrum network, especially in the event of an emergency situation.
  • Help protect the work to date by Offchain Labs and the wider Arbitrum community.

Being a member of the Security Council comes with significant responsibility that I can appreciate, understand and agree to. I hope to do my part in protecting the Arbitrum Network and the technology stack that we as a community have worked so hard to build.

  • Experience in academic research and practical implementation,
