Caleb Lau
Etherscan - Software Developer
Motivation
Arbitrum imho is an ecosystem which runs closest to the ideal L2 ecosystem there is: Forefronting experimentation (e.g. most recently, with Stylus, allowing WASM based languages to run on Arbitrum), community-involved decision making + participation while still maintaining pragmatism with urgent issues, and from personal interaction with the team, the Arbitrum team do genuinely care for those within the space, which I highly appreciate.
How could anyone not want to contribute to, and where needed, protecc this ecosystem? Also anything which affects Arbitrum affects me, as I maintain + build both Arbiscan and Nova explorers.
(and also, would REALLY like to be around if/when Arbitrum's fraud proof gets tested IRL on Ethereum mainnet :D am also looking forward to be able to run a challenger/prover :D)
Experience
Currently serving as a security council member until re-election, so am familiar with the processes + what is required of me. Builds and maintains both Arbiscan and Nova explorers for Etherscan. Also works on contract verification, EVM related matters, indexing, and answering users/devs questions and requests. Familiar with Tenderly, callTraces/debug calls, stateDiffs. Familiarity with the L2 ecosystem in general, also outside of Arbitrum. Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure.
Skills
Cybersecurity
Web2 related security matters, exploit identification and tagging at Etherscan, Solidity CTF hobbyist.
Projects
I also work on other explorers (e.g. OPStack, BSCscan/Polygonscan, etc)
