Security Council election candidate

Jake Nyquist

Founder @ Hook Protocol

Individual

Motivation

Over the last few months, I've been building in and learning about the Arbitrum Ecosystem. Features like the working fraud proofs and the BOLD protocol make it clear that Arbitrum is the leader in security. As I continue to build and deploy here, I want to get more involved in contributing to that security posture.

Experience

I'm a software engineer and founder in crypto, working on EVM protocols. I've developed, brought through audit, deployed, and operated two protocols, which have seen millions of dollars of volume. In addition to this work, I also manage an Immunefi bug bounty program.

I'm currently developing a new protocol that will be deployed on an arbitrum orbit chain, so I'm familiar with the technical details of how the chain works, and have even posted a blog on its economics.

I also enjoy researching new protocols and frameworks in my free time. For example, I was among the first people to deploy C code on the arbitrum stylus testnet.
