Motivation
Our motivation to join the Arbitrum Security Council stems from Blockful's specialized focus on proactive risk detection and mitigation. Rather than reacting to crises, we identify and address security threats before they become systemic failures.
Blockful brings valuable expertise through:
- Continuous security monitoring and technical risk analysis
- Direct intervention capabilities when threats emerge
- A dedicated team of engineers and security researchers
- Extensive experience in smart contract security and attack vector analysis
- Knowledge of DAO risk mitigation
We're confident in adding meaningful value to the Security Council through these capabilities and are eager to contribute to Arbitrum's security posture. We look forward to engaging with the community in this capacity and helping maintain the protocol's integrity and resilience against emerging threats.
Experience
Security is at the core of Blockful’s work. Our team of engineers and researchers actively monitors risks that could compromise protocols and DAO operations.
We have contributed to:
- ENS Governance Analysis: Identified and resolved a critical governance risk in ENS DAO, preventing potential vulnerabilities and creating the ENS Security Council: https://docs.ens.domains/dao/proposals/5.13
- Compound Governance Research: Conducted an in-depth review to evaluate and improve governance mechanisms: https://mirror.xyz/research.blockful.eth/v0GEP49oXP1gzMDlyP91-S4XIa8PIOd0vKq-6R8f54I
Beyond these two contributions, Blockful conducts in-depth research and has developed a governance security dashboard based on its proprietary framework (the Anticapture Framework). This dashboard analyzes governance security risks for DAOs and provides actionable steps to keep the governance secure and sustainable over the long term.
Skills
Cybersecurity
We work with security for DAOs and implement best on-chain practices, as we not only manage our company treasury on-chain but are also part of the ENS DAO Security Council.
Projects
- Delegates: ArbitrumDAO, Scroll, ENS DAO, Shutter DAO 0x36, Optimism
- Grantees: Arbitrum, Optimism, Uniswap Foundation
- Service Provider: ENS DAO, Shutter DAO 0x36
Regarding potential conflicts of interest, we believe our participation in the Arbitrum Security Council would complement rather than conflict with our existing ecosystem engagements. Our experience across diverse governance systems enhances our security perspective, providing valuable insights from various operational contexts.
