Candidate Profile

Security Council election candidate

Anton Buenavista

Head of Ecosystem at Pendle

Individual

Motivation

The Arbitrum Security Council presents an opportunity for me to contribute my time and expertise to enhance the value of the Arbitrum ecosystem. As a core member of Pendle, I recognize the strong alignment between Arbitrum's objectives and our interests, making the security of Arbitrum a priority for us.

Experience

Before transitioning to a full-time role in the Web3 space, I worked as a software engineer in the mobile and communications department at Intel. My entry into crypto began with Bitcoin in 2012, which later led me to become one of the earliest community contributors to Ethereum in Singapore in 2014.

My professional experience in Web3 includes roles at Kyber, as a founding member of Pendle, and various personal projects. At both Kyber and Pendle, I have developed smart contracts, managed developer relations, and played a key role in growing their ecosystems. Notably, I was a founding contributor to the launch of WBTC at Kyber and have contributed to drafting ERC-5115, a standard that plays a critical role in Pendle today. Currently, I lead ecosystem growth at Pendle.

Given the responsibilities of the role, I understand the importance of availability and thoroughness. Based in Southeast Asia, I am ready to offer my time and expertise whenever needed while continuing to grow the Arbitrum ecosystem overall.
